Attorney meeting with a client in a law office

after the meeting

One dictation on the walk back, and the file, the calendar, the bill, and the client are all caught up.

watch it run

One minute of talking. An afternoon of office work, done.

This is the real pipeline, looped. Your words become a matched case, a filed note, a calendared deadline, and a drafted client update waiting for your one-click approval. The hours you used to spend typing, filing, and returning “any update?” calls come back to you.

what actually changes

Less office work. More law.

Every feature below ships today in the one $99 plan. Together they take over the work that keeps attorneys at their desks after court: the filing, the calendaring, the time capture, the invoice, the “just checking in” phone calls.

01 · capture

Stop typing up your day

In-app dictation

One tap to record a case memo from your desk, your car, or the courthouse steps.

Any recording, uploaded

Client meetings, voicemail debriefs, hearing notes: drop in any audio file and it enters the same pipeline.

Verbatim transcripts, kept

Every extraction sits next to its word-for-word transcript, so the source is always one glance away.

02 · organize

A file room that keeps itself

AI case matching

Content is matched to your open matters by client, caption, and case number, with a confidence score, never a silent guess.

Notes & timeline

Clean third-person case notes land on the matter with a full event timeline of everything that touched the file.

Deadline & SoL calendaring

Every spoken date becomes a calendar entry: hearings, filing deadlines, statutes of limitations, surfaced before they bite.

Documents, secured

Case documents live in encrypted private storage, downloadable only through signed links that expire in minutes.

03 · communicate

Clients stop calling to ask what's happening

Recorded status calls

Approved updates go out as a natural-voice recorded call from your firm's number, with voicemail handling.

Firm email updates

Clean, professional emails delivered from your firm. No marketing footer garbage, ever.

The approval queue

Every AI-drafted update waits for you: review, edit, approve, or discard. Auto-send is opt-in, per update type.

Consent management

Per-client channel consent, checked when an update is queued and re-checked at the moment of sending.

04 · protect

Defensible enough for the client file

Append-only audit log

Every access, filing, approval, and delivery lands in a log that database permissions physically prevent editing.

Database-level firm isolation

Row-level security enforced by the database engine on every query, attack-tested against hostile accounts.

Delivery receipts on the file

Calls and emails log their delivery status straight to the case timeline: proof of communication, already documented.

No-training AI terms

Our AI providers process your content under commercial no-training terms. Your cases never teach anyone's model.

The goal is simple: the last legal software subscription your office needs. Trial customers keep the $99 price as every module lands.

the math

One subscription replaces three.

A typical small office stacks practice-management software, an AI research tool, and a billing product, then pays per seat for every assistant and paralegal. CounselRelay covers case management, dictation, client updates, billing, invoicing, and court-records research in one plan. You pay for attorneys. Staff ride free.

Attorney reviewing drafted client updates

the working loop

A paralegal's diligence. A partner's judgment. Yours.

  1. 01

    speak

Dictate in the app or upload any recording: client meetings, car-ride memos, voicemail debriefs.

  2. 02

    review

The AI files notes and deadlines to the right matter and drafts any client updates you asked for. Everything waits for you.

  3. 03

    approve

One click sends the update as a recorded call or a firm email, logs the delivery to the case, and gets you out of phone tag forever.

security posture

Built like privileged material depends on it. Because it does.

  • → Encrypted in transit and at rest. Documents and audio sit behind signed links that expire in minutes.
  • → Your firm's records live in their own isolated database, enforced by the database engine and attack-tested against hostile accounts.
  • → Our AI providers work under no-training commercial terms. Your cases never teach anyone's model.
  • → An append-only audit log records every access and every communication.

before you ask

The questions attorneys actually ask us

Is it ethical for my firm to use CounselRelay?

No US jurisdiction prohibits attorneys from using AI; every bar that has spoken requires competence, confidentiality, verification, and supervision. CounselRelay is engineered around those exact duties: AI output is always a reviewable proposal, client data is processed under no-training terms, and an audit log documents your supervision. See our 50-state guide for your jurisdiction's position.

Does the AI ever contact my clients on its own?

No. Every drafted update sits in an approval queue until you approve, edit, or discard it. Auto-send exists only as an explicit per-update-type setting you enable, and consent is re-checked at the moment of sending either way.

Where does my data live and who can see it?

Your firm's records live in an isolated database enforced by row-level security, with documents and audio in encrypted private storage. We attack-test the isolation: a hostile account in another firm sees zero rows and cannot forge writes into yours.

Is my dictation used to train AI models?

No. Transcription and drafting run through commercial AI services under contractual no-training terms. Your content is processed to serve your request and nothing else.

What does it cost?

One plan: $99 per attorney per month after a free 14-day trial, with staff and paralegal seats free and unlimited. Most offices cancel at least one other subscription in the first month. Outbound call carrier fees pass through at cost, typically a few cents per call.

How long does setup take?

Minutes. Create your firm, add clients and matters (or import them), and dictate your first memo. There is no on-premise install and nothing for IT to maintain.

Your clients deserve updates.
You deserve your evenings.

One plan. Everything included. $99 per attorney per month after a free 14-day trial, and your staff ride free.
